Republic of Ireland defender Robbie Brady says playing for his country has always been the highlight of his career after scoring the winning goal in the 2-1 Nations League win over Finland.
Robbie Brady says playing for his country has always been the highlight of his career after scoring the Republic of Ireland's late winner in their 2-1 victory over Finland on Thursday.
"I put in a lot of hard work and I feel I deserve to be in around it at the minute, and I'm glad I got to show it tonight," said Brady after helping his team to a first-ever away win in the Nations League. The victory sealed Heimir Hallgrimsson's first competitive win as manager at the third attempt as the Republic boosted their Nations League B2 campaign after defeats to England and Greece in September.
