🔴 NatWest has become the first major lender to up mortgage rates after today's inflation figures, telling brokers that it would be increasing several of its two and five-year fixes by 0.3 percentage points as of tomorrow
In an email to brokers on Wednesday, NatWest said customers could still submit applications online for existing deals up to 10:30pm tonight.
The Bank of England base rate will be revealed at noon on Thursday. A 0.25 percentage point hike to 4.75 per cent is widely expected, though some are suggesting a rise to 5 per cent is not out of the question.
