Richard Ratcliffe thanked the public for their support during the strike and said he will now be going to hospital for a 'full check up'
During the strike, Mr Ratcliffe, who lives with the couple's daughter in north London, has been visited by a number of celebrities including Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman and TV presenter Victoria Coren Mitchell.On Saturday she said she had been"in touch with Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who is worried sick about her husband".
Her constituent, a British-Iranian dual national, has been in custody in Iran since 2016 after being accused of being a spy. According to her family, she was told by local authorities that she was being detained because of the UK's failure to pay an outstanding £400m debt to Iran.
