The league appears to have reached an agreement on a new media rights deal with three broadcast partners — and one notable absence.
The greatest show in the history of the world may sadly be nearing a premature end.According to The Athletic's Andrew Marchand, the NBA has agreed on three lucrative new broadcast media rights deals with a trio of partners, worth a projected $76 billion, and set to tip off at the start of the 2025-26 season, when the current agreement, between the league and a pair of broadcast partners, TNT and ABC/ESPN , expires.
Since 2011, he's been joined by three former NBA greats: former two-time Houston Rockets title-winning point guard Kenny 'The Jet' Smith, an analyst since 1998, Hall of Fame power forward Charles Barkley, who's been on the program since 2000, and Hall of Fame center Shaquille O'Neal, who's been onboard since his retirement in 2011.
