MANILA -- Lyceum of the Philippines University is still unbeaten in the NCAA Season 99 men's basketball tournament after a stunning 89-77 comeback against Arellano University, Friday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
"The boys never gave up," said Lyceum coach Gilbert Malabanan. "It was the defense, nakita niyo naman." The Chiefs squandered a 73-62 lead in the final two minutes of the game, as Letran ended the game on a blistering 27-4 run. The Knights dominated the extra period, 14-2, as the Chiefs ran out of steam.
