AUSTIN — Texas men’s basketball was selected as a No. 7 seed in the Midwest Region in this year’s NCAA Tournament. The Longhorns will make their fourth consecutive appearance in March Madness, which is their longest streak since making 14 straight NCAA Tournaments from 1999-2012. Texas had an early exit in the Big 12 tournament after blowing a 10-point halftime lead to Kansas State, but the conference tournament result did not seem to affect its NCAA Tournament seeding.
