It's the most complete skull of its kind ever found in Australia and shows the shape of the animal's head for the first time. 9News
The fossilised skull fragments date to 98–95 million years ago and represent the fourth fossil specimen ofDr Stephen Poropat, a postdoctoral research fellow at Curtin University, led the research into the remarkable find.
"In analysing the remains, we found similarities between the Ann skull and the skull of a titanosaur calledDiamantinasaurus"These similarities include details of the braincase, the bones forming the back end of the skull near the jaw joint and the shape of the teeth." As well as revealing more about the creature, the skull offers more clues about how and where they lived.
