Almost half of the British public have called for Prince Harry to lose his royal title in the wake of fresh accusations launched against the royal family in Netflix series, Harry & Meghan
In the wake of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s bombshell Netflix docu-series, a new survey has revealed that nearly half of all Brits think the Duke should be stripped of his title.
In 2022, the couple spent more time with the royals than they have done in two years, with the couple visiting the UK on three separate occasions, including when they introduced daughter Lilibet to her great-grandmother The Queen, before the monarch's death. The YouGov poll revealed that 23% of respondents thought worse of Harry and Meghan after seeing the Netflix series while 7% said they had a better impression.
The Isle of Wight MP suggested he could propose a short private members’ bill in 2023 that, if passed, would see MPs vote on a resolution that could give the Privy Council the power to downgrade the couple’s royal status. “The Royals are part of the UK constitution, & when Windsor trashes family he trashes it. Let’s not pretend it’s not political.”
Under the proposed bill, Bob revealed that Parliament’s experts had been looking at some old laws to explore how such a change could be implemented.
