Man City stars like Jack Grealish, Erling Haaland and Ruben Dias have been spotted there, now manager Pep has given it a try
Neighbourhood Italian restaurant Vero Moderno has become used to welcoming a regular procession of Manchester City stars to dine with them in recent years. And now the Salford eaterie has finally had a visit from the Blues boss too.
Now, restaurant owner Beppe Piccoli has been delighted to finally welcome the main man, Pep, through the doors to sample his cuisine too. Pep was pictured at the restaurant alongside some of City's medical and coaching team Federico Genovesi, Daniel Codina Serra, Mario Pafundi, while team doctor Max Sala also joined them.
The restaurant has been at Vimto Gardens on Chapel Street since 2017. Owner Beppe Piccoli, who is originally from Rome, said his inspiration for opening the restaurant was to bring an authentic taste of Italy to Salford. Beppe has spoken previously about the connection with City starting after the team's Italian coaching and physio staff first gave it a try. Beppe says: "I think that's how it started as they have three Italians working in the medicine department and they were looking for good, authentic Italian food.
