Bury Council's own trading standards team have expressed concerns over potential crime and disorder and public safety issues
Plans for 24-hour booze sales from a petrol station Asda store have come under fire from concerned neighbours. Euro Garages, who operate the Asda Express store at the Blackford Bridge service station on Manchester Road, Bury , wish to have a round the clock licence to serve alcohol.
“This is a residential area and there is absolutely no requirement for a store to be permitted to sell alcohol in the area. “Asda already have a huge store at Pilsworth on half a mile away.“The anti-social- behaviour that will come with such a decision will be extremely impactful.
