Alan Edward, a former journalist from Scotland, was found guilty of planning terrorist acts, including an attack on an LGBT group. Police discovered a large collection of weapons at his home.
A Scots “neo-nazi” who plotted a series of terrorist events after gathering an “armoury” in his home is set to be sentenced today. Former journalist, Alan Edward was found guilty of intending to commit an act of terrorism which would include an incident of “serious violence”. A jury heard in September that the 54-year-old had discussed an attack on a Scottish LBGT group. Armed cops found a barrage of weapons at his home in September 2022.
Officers from Police Scotland discovered weapons and equipment including a samurai sword, 14 knives – some with Nazi and SS insignia – machetes, a tomahawk, knuckledusters, a catapult, an extendible baton and a stun-gun. Edwards was also in possession of an air pistol modelled on the “James Bond” Walther PPK within his two-storey home in Redding, Falkirk. Edwards was also keeping an SS-style skull mask, goggles and a respirator fighting gloves with specially-hardened knuckles, pellets, ball bearings, and hunting tips for crossbow arrows.
