To maximize productivity, the initiative examined seven techniques and five different coral nursery designs. They estimate to produce half a million corals per year to rebuild and sustain diverse reefThis big restoration project matches up with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to boost marine conservation. Under the Saudi Green Initiative, the goal is to protect 30% of its terrestrial and marine area by 2030. Currently, 66,000 square kilometers of land and sea are protected.
