Nestlé can do better
It’s a shocking figure – and one Greenpeace is now urging people across the planet to combat.The environmental organisation has urged their followers to take on companies whose products come in ‘cheap throwaway single plastic’.
The page adds: ‘Nestlé must stop endangering our oceans, our waterways, our communities, and wildlife around the world. Of the rest, the study showed that 12 per cent was incinerated, and 79 per cent was accumulated in landfills or the natural environment. However Nestlé recently announced aims to achieve a waste-free future, with 100 per cent of packaging recyclable or reusable by 2025.
