ISRAEL I Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is to undergo prostate removal surgery on Sunday, his office said, after he was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. In March, the 75-year-old underwent a hernia surgery, while in July last year doctors implanted a pacemaker in Netanyahu after a medical scare. Netanyahu underwent a test at Hadassah Hospital on Wednesday, where he was 'diagnosed with a urinary tract infection' which emerged from a benign prostate enlargement.
The prime minister's office said in a statement that 'as a result, the prime minister will undergo prostate removal surgery tomorrow.' The procedure comes with Israel at war against Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip more than 14 months after the Palestinian militants carried out the horrific October 7 attacks.Over 45,400 Palestinians, with over half of them women and children, have been killed and more than 108,000 others wounded, according to the Hamas-run Palestinian health ministry. Footage showed buildings at the Ras Kutaib power station in Hodeida consumed by flames after waves of air strikes. 'Hamas learned, Hezbollah learned, and Syria learned. The Houthis will learn too.
