The third season of the Netflix LGBTQ+ series is set to premiere in October
Fans of the popular LGBTQ+ teen series Heartstopper have been given a sneak peek at the upcoming third season, with Netflix releasing nine first-look photos. The show, based on Alice Oseman's graphic novels, follows the blossoming relationship between Charlie Spring and Nick Nelson, played by Joe Locke and Kit Connor respectively.The first season premiered in April 2022, followed by the second in August of the same year.
Another photo shows Charlie and his sister Tori cosy in bed, while a third captures a tender moment between Charlie and Nick. Other characters also get their time in the spotlight, with one photo hinting at a potential kiss between Tara and Darcy, reports the Mirror.
She elaborated on the themes of the new season, saying: "Mental health, sex, university ambitions, and more: Nick, Charlie, and the Heartstopper teens are getting older, learning more about themselves and each other, and experiencing new desires, new fears, and new joys as they approach adulthood." The latest season also introduces a charming addition to the cast. Jensen Clayden steps into the role of Oliver, the younger cousin of Charlie and Tori, in what Oseman describes as a 'small but festive' role.
