The one-minute trailer that preceded the release mentioned the Royal Family’s hierarchical structure and the “leaking” and “planting” of stories, but in the end little was made of them when the documentary went live., set to be released on 15 December, suggests the couple will discuss their decision to leave the UK and step down as working royals. Meghan is filmed saying: “This is when a family and a family business are in direct conflict.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said there was “nothing said in the first three hours that would cause undue concern to the Royal Family”. He said: “A lot of it was about the press and the undoubted pressure they had. Wait for the next three hours. The trailer was very sensational about dirty stories, that they were being briefed against – that will no doubt come in the next part.”
