Make-up melts almost instantaneously, and perspiration plays havoc with neat edges. So instead of trying to fight the heat with equal parts pressed powder and dogged persistence, why not embrace an altogether more dreamy finish?
Look to Chanel's new summer collection, for example. It's styled around what Global Creative Make-up and Colour Designer, Lucia Pica, calls a “blurry” effect. Pica said of the collection, which includes eyeshadows and liners designed to create a “second-skin smoky effect”: “I’m very attracted to style and character. I feel like women should still look polished, just not too overly done or old-fashioned.
