To be fair to Hancock, in his last role he had far more on his plate than various bits of marsupial anatomy. Being in charge of the UK’s pandemic response must have been terrifyingly stressful, not to mention juggling his inability to buy enough PPE of the correct quality with being aggressive towards Kate Bingham, the vaccine tsar, as shein her book. She suggested he was put out that she was getting all the glory for being effective in finding a vaccine.
