Marcus Rashford finalised his move to Aston Villa on Sunday, signing on loan from Man United, and Gary Neville gave his thoughts on the switch.
Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville believes Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery is the right man to get Marcus Rashford 's career back on track.
His temporary switch to Villa, which also features the option for the Midlands outfit to sign him permanently in the summer, is the ideal move to get his career back on track, according to Neville, who has described some of United head coach Ruben Amorim's recent comments about the forward as "absolutely brutal".
"I thought when Ruben Amorim came in we would see not necessarily a resurgence from Rashford but a clean slate; it has got ten times worse under Amorim for Rashford than it was under Erik ten Hag, in the sense that some of the things that have been said by his manager have been absolutely brutal. "What I think Rashford needs at this moment in time is instruction. Ordinarily, you might say, 'Go out on the pitch and enjoy it'. That is not Emery and that is not what Rashford needs; he needs real instruction, direction and discipline in his game.
