German-based RMIC says iconic hotel building will close for 7 months to allow for 'multi-million pound' transformation
The new owners of one of Liverpool's most well-known buildings have promised to create the city's 'coolest' hospitality venue and hotel.
The ECHO has been contacted by a number of disappointed customers who are now having to rearrange their weddings, but the hotel's new bosses said they are keen to help with this process. Mr Gray said the closure is needed so the company can carry out the multi-million refurbishment and repair of the famous building in order to turn it into a 'hospitality venue that Liverpool can be proud of.'"Our plan is to close in the new year for an extensive refurbishment and we are planning this in conjunction with Liverpool City Council because this is a Grade II* listed building and we are passionate about respecting all of its history.
