Belfast Grand Central Station will welcome its first passengers on Sunday morning when the first bus, a 5am service to Dublin, departs
Belfast's new £340million public transport hub has been hailed as a "game changer for the whole of Northern Ireland", just days ahead of its phased opening.
The new station will become the largest integrated transport hub on the island of Ireland, replacing the Europa Bus Centre and Great Victoria Street train station. The final bus will leave the Europa late on Saturday night, which will then close its doors for the last time, following in the footsteps of Great Victoria Street, which shut in May.
Chief Executive, Chris Conway and the station's manager Louise Doyle gave members of the media a sneak preview of the impressive new building on a site visit on Wednesday morning before the first passengers begin arriving on Sunday.
