It is estimated that ADP will support 612,000 people by 2028/29, providing financial support of almost £4.5 billion.
People now in receipt of Adult Disability Payment , or those waiting on an award decision, the outcome of a challenge, or individuals who made an unsuccessful claim for the devolved benefit, are being encouraged to share their experience of the application process in a new online consultation.
ADP started to replace all new claims for Personal Independence Payment across Scotland in July 2022. The latest figures from the Department for Work and Pensions show that there are currently 172,954 people living in Scotland still receiving PIP, however, all of these claimants will move automatically in stages to ADP before the end of 2025.
