Dove Valley Regional Park is reopening after an $18 million makeover.
The city said the new pedestrian bridge closes the most difficult and last remaining missing segment of the 71-mile High Line Canal Trail in the Denver metro area.
The pedestrian bridge completes nearly two miles of multi-use trail to close the gap between Colfax Avenue and East 32nd Parkway. Aurora officials said the project has improved at-grade street and railroad crossings along the trail to promote safe interactions between trail users along with vehicular and rail traffic. A continuous 8-foot-wide concrete trail ensures better accessibility.
