Following the death of a 24-year-old student in Sydney’s west, CCTV footage has revealed children riding past on their bikes leading up to the incident. 9News
's west shows them waiting out the front of a family home for about 15 minutes before the attack.
"I think it is as bad as it gets, it is an awful crime," detective acting superintendent Virginia Gorman said."It is shocking for the family, for the people who live in that street, for his girlfriend and generally the community.""He is a 24-year-old male and there is only so much that can happen in 24 years," she said.Police are investigating potential gangland links in the shooting death of a man in Western Sydney on May 23, 2023.
Webb said officers from Strikeforce Erebus - set up last year to tackle gang violence - were part of the investigation.
