Banksy's Cut & Run exhibition at the Gallery of Modern Art ended on Monday, but the iconic street artist is reportedly not behind a new cone on the Duke of Wellington statue just outside the venue.
The Duke of Wellington statue's iconic cone has undergone a transformation, just as Glasgow's Bansky exhibition comes to an end - but the famed street artist is not behind the change.
But a change to the cone on the statue's head, located just outside GoMA, was not made by Banksy, the PA news agency understands. For years, an orange traffic cone has adorned the Duke of Wellington statue's head and Banksy has described it as his favourite artwork and part of the reason he decided to hold his first exhibition in the city.
But it is understood the change was not made by the artist, leaving the identity of the perpetrator unknown.
