We did not know we needed a corgi emoji in our lives until now! 🐶 👑 A new emoji paying tribute to the Queen’s love of dogs has been unveiled in the run-up to her long-awaited Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The cartoon image features a corgi – the Queen’s favourite breed – called PJ wearing a purple and platinum crown, and has appeared on theThe emoji will automatically appear on Twitter when the celebratory Jubilee hashtags are used – including #PlatinumJubilee, #HM70, #PlatinumPartyatthePalace, #PlatinumJubileePageant, and #TheBigJubileeLunch.
The Queen has owned more than 30 corgis during her reign, most of which have been descendants of her first corgi Susan which she was given on her 18th birthday in 1944. The final dog in Susan’s line, Willow, passed away in 2018 and was followed by Whisper, a pure-bred corgi, and Vulcan, a ‘dorgi’ or corgi and dachshund cross.
