Residents of Baxenden, a village on the outskirts of Accrington, will soon have access to a new free-to-use ATM, thanks to the intervention of local MP Graham Jones.
Residents of Baxenden , a village in East Lancashire, are celebrating the news of a new free-to-use cash machine coming to their community. The national ATM network LINK has agreed to install the machine in response to concerns raised by local MP Graham Jones about the lack of cash withdrawal facilities in the area. Jones, who will be running for the Labour party in Accrington South division in the upcoming Lancashire County Council elections, wrote to LINK urging them to address the issue.
LINK subsequently confirmed that they would fund and install a new ATM within three months, subject to a review.
