Summary The Energon Universe is about to get a little bit bigger, as Skybound Entertainment just announced an all-new G.I. Joe series set to launch this November.
Finally bringing the team together after over a year of build-up and four Joe-themed miniseries, G.I. Joe #1 promises to rock the very foundations of Skybound’s shared Transformers/G.I. Joe universe, and will likely be one of the year’s biggest comic debuts.
In what Skybound.com is referring to as “thebiggest comic book launch of the decade,” November’s G.I. Joe #1 promises to “introduce a bold new vision of G.I. JOE and Cobra to the Energon Universe.” The series will reunite Tom Reilly and Joshua Williamson, who set up the new Joe organization in their Duke miniseries. Williamson is also the writer of the recently-concluded Cobra Commander miniseries.
G.I. Joe #1 Brings the Joe Team Into the Energon Universe Now that Duke and Cobra Commander have wrapped up their five-issue runs, G.I. Joe #1 should arrive just in time for the conclusion of the currently-running Scarlett and Destro miniseries. The solicitation for the hotly-anticipated series teases more to come, including an all-new character created for the Energon Universe.
