Developers have said a series of ‘River Rooms’ will be created to be used as public space with panoramic views of the waterfront "offering places to pause, rest or shelter". A planning officer refuted suggestions that the building could be susceptible to flooding, insisting that the lower car park could have a "potential risk" of flooding but that it would be designed to "withstand the danger and free drain".
