A new sub-faction of the Automatons are set to come to Helldivers 2 and players may have already seen them without realizing.
As the Helldivers 2 Galactic War rages on, Super Earth is divided between fighting the Automatons and Terminids. Many players also have their eyes on The Illuminate, a sci-fi alien faction that has been rumored to be coming to the game ever since its launch. But, we could be set to see a new sub-faction before The Illuminate makes an appearance, and we may have already encountered them. The new Automatons will have a chrome armor. When the Viper Commandos Warbond and the new jungle-themed planets were released, players noticed that some of the robots were chrome and very reflective. U/_GreatAndPowerful pointed out that the new chrome-style Automatons were briefly in Helldivers 2 saying “I KNEW I wasn’t crazy! I saw a lot of Devastators covered in new metal around… 3 patches ago. I just thought Arrowhead updated their models, but I guess they’re just bugged new enemies.
