Later, in the middle of August, Holland put his name in the running to be appointed following encouragement from both Moss and Commission Chairman Brandon Shoupe.Two days later, he was sworn into office by Houston County Probate Judge Patrick Davenport. Holland has decades of experience in the Revenue office, which he says prepared him for Sunday’s celebration.
