The former Newport Liberty Half Marathon and 5K will take runners participating in the 13.1-mile race on a tour of historic Jersey City.
Thousands of runners will be zipping across Downtown Jersey City Saturday during the NYCRUNS New Jersey Half Marathon and 5K at Newport. Motorists? Well, that’s another story.
“We’re excited to bring the NYCRUNS race experience back this Saturday to Jersey City for the New Jersey Half Marathon and 5K at Newport,” said founder and CEO Steve Lastoe. “It’s a great opportunity to connect with the New Jersey running community. The event will also cause numerous road closures, along with creating no-parking zones, between Friday night and Saturday afternoon.
