Venues that fail to prepare for terror threats could be fined millions under legislation devised following the Manchester Arena attack.
The legislation involves a tiered approach, with a 'standard tier' venue of between 200 and 800 capacity asked to undertake procedures such as training staff to lock doors and identify safe evacuation routes. Places of worship including mosques and churches are automatically ranked as standard tier because of existing protection measures.
Martyn's mother, Figen Murray, walked 200 miles from Manchester to Downing Street to promote her cause, thanked the Prime Minister for introducing the law
