The government is being urged to bring in new laws on parking, which would see drivers and riders fined for leaving cars, e-bikes or scooters on pavements.
The Battersea MP wants the government to extend the laws already in place in London, which enable local councils to take action against pavement parkers. "Between the lack of a clear definition of what constitutes an obstruction, and the lack of police resources, relying on police enforcement has not proven effective.
"We have clear evidence that laws like this can, and do work, and I urge the house to support this Bill."
