'New Love Island' The Cabins axed by ITV despite being huge hit with viewers
The reality show, which was heralded the 'new Love Island ', saw single 20-somethings ditch their dating apps and find love in secluded cabins.
The show proved popular with fans, and performed well as a replacement for Love Island when it wasn't being broadcast in the summer. The first series of The Cabins took place during the pandemic, and was only able to go ahead after strict health and safety protocols were put in place by ITV. The pair stayed together for the duration of the first series, leaving as an exclusive couple, and later even got matching tattoos after dropping the L-bomb.
