A new scheme designed to reduce the risk of avoidable brain injuries in childbirth has launched. The pilot aims to improve safety for women and babies. It is being trialed in nine NHS maternity units in England. Launched on 7 October, the scheme forms part of the government's aim to urgently improve maternity outcomes for women and babies.
