A new alcohol-free bar is to open in the Northern Quarter - making it the first ever sober bar in the area.
Stephen, 33, said he gave up drinking five years after struggling with alcohol addiction. He explained that his addiction began as his social life continued to be ‘centred around drinking’ and led to problematic behaviour. Stephen added that he became aware of his dependency on alcohol when someone working for a sobriety charity explained that if alcohol was costing more than time and money, he was an alcoholic. It led him to seek support for his addiction.
