New Order closed the UK leg of their tour with a hit-packed set at Leeds First Direct Arena
Synth legends New Order put of one of the best gigs Leeds has seen this year when they performed on Saturday evening.
They were also treated to the first airing during this tour, which has seen the band play dates in Copenhagen, London and Amsterdam, of Perfect Kiss. The always affable lead Sumner was in fine form during his addresses to the crowd.Accompanying the music was the stunning light show which is synonymous with the New Order live experience. Laser beamed in-sync with the visuals on-screen during set highlight Bizarre Love Triangle.
For a closing three, prior to saying farewell to New Order, it’s hard to better True Faith, calling card Blue Monday and Temptation. Sumner and co took their bow and returned not long after to perform some Joy Division classics. Of course, New Order formed from the remaining members of Joy Division after the tragic death of frontman Ian Curtis.
