The building fell into disrepair in recent decades amid calls for it to be brought into public ownership.
The new owner of a historic listed jailhouse building in Co Tyrone says he he bought it in order to preserve and restore its history.

“Restoring it to what it was intended to be would be the plan, whether we rent it out, sell it or put it on AirBnB. It’s not for me to live in but it’s going to be a long project.
