Two organizations are coming together to better serve the Austin community. Wednesday, the Central Texas Food Bank and Workforce Solutions Capital Area announce
New partnership aims to be a one-stop-shop for food and job assistance in Austin , July 31, 2024 “Needs don’t exist in isolation and neither should services,” said Central Texas Food Bank CEO & president Sari Vatske.
“We’re bringing staff resources right here co-located with the Central Texas Food Bank to bring workforce, job training services to customers that also receive services from the food bank,” Workforce Solutions Capital Area CEO Tamara Atkinson said. “Having so many services in many different places isn’t really helpful for someone that may be relying on public transit,” said Workforce Solutions Capital Area Temporary Assistance for Needy Families career advisor Zyniah Hancock.
