Albert Dock bar The Smugglers Cove has launched a new experience where rum lovers can get stuck into their favourite tipple in their own private room.
The experience is designed to take guests on a journey to discover the world of rum, by sampling different varieties and learning the heritage behind each signature drink. Each experience is hosted in The Smugglers Cove's private 'rum room', and each guest will receive a welcome cocktail upon arrival.
They will then listen as one of the venue's storyteller bartenders guides the group through their rum experience, with five tots to try over the course of 60-90 minutes. The Smugglers Cove has certainly proved its worth as rum experts over the years, having scooped a Guinness World Record back in 2015 for the most types of rum commercially available, with 151 varieties on its menu.
Megan Jenson, Head Bartender at The Smugglers Cove said: “Our venue is a treasure trove of some of the best rums in the world and we’re so excited to be able to offer fellow rum enthusiasts the opportunity to learn more about our signature drinks and savour the different flavours.” The Smugglers Cove opened back in November 2013 and is popular for its hanging kebabs, live music each weekend and extensive cocktail menu.
