Following the game’s latest delay, Ubisoft has said it will announce a new Skull and Bones release date “very soon”, plus details of upcoming test phases. Fresh gameplay focused on the title’s lore will be shown later today
It said Skull and Bones will now be released “early” in its next fiscal year, which begins in April and runs until March 2024.

On Wednesday Ubisoft said it had decided to postpone the game’s release “in order to have more time to showcase a much more polished and balanced experience and to build awareness”. It added: “Players will be able to discover the beauty of Skull and Bones in the upcoming beta phase. The additional time has already paid off and brought impressive improvements to its quality, which has been confirmed by recent playtests. We believe players will be positively surprised by its evolution.”
