An all-new Supercars reality show, based heavily on Drive to Survive, will be shopped to major streaming services including Netflix and Amazon. RepcoSC
Motorsport.com understands footage and interviews for the new show were shot during last month's Bathurst 1000.
That footage is then expected to be used to produce a pilot episode that will be shopped around to major TV networks and streaming services, including Netflix, Amazon and Stan. Supercars is no stranger to the docudrama space, having already looked to bounce off the success of the Netflix series, Formula 1: Drive to Survive, with its own Inside Line series.The first was Erebus MotorsportIt has been produced by motorsport-specific production companies, Supercars taking the reins for the first season before it went to AME for season two and then Neil Crompton's AirTime Media for season three.
, while Tickford Racing tracked its 2020 Bathurst campaign and turned it into a show called 'More than a 1000'.
