Valve's upcoming MOBA / shooter mashup Deadlock is already close to reaching an absurd 90k peak player count mere days after its reveal.
Despite access to Valve’s not-so-secret MOBA / shooter mashup, Deadlock, being invite-only, the hotly anticipated team-based game has nearly reached a whopping 90,000 peak player count mere days after its official announcement. That’s according to Steam’s top 100 chart of most played games, which currently has Deadlock at #11 with a current player count of 76,610 and a peak of 89,203.
Similarly, minihunden, a Twitch content creator who had less than 100 followers, has gained 300+ since hosting a livestream where he sends out invite codes after every match. Now, it is worth pointing out that since this isn’t Valve’s first foray into the MOBA / multiplayer space, Deadlock’s massive popularity will more than likely mirror its equally in-demand counterparts in Counter-Strike 2 and DotA 2.
