It's been described as 'long overdue but it’s the best thing that will have happened in Wallasey for a long long time.'
A fly-through video is giving people their first glimpse of a new community theatre, new sports halls, and school. The Mosslands School in Wallasey will see a complete revamp after a nearly £60m investment by the Department for Education . The new school will be built to the south of the existing school site which will enable Mosslands to continue operating in its current buildings while works take place.
To the south of the site, a habitat trail, woodland, and a pond will be created while a larger school car park will be created to the north with 640 bike spaces. New images in a consultation document show a three storey dining hall overlooked by the school’s library as well as new school theatre. The current buildings in the school are 'at the end of its useful life' with very little insulation and were built for half the number of students currently at the school.
