“The Manila City celebration of December 31, New Year’s Eve revelry, was resoundingly safe and peaceful,” he said. The MPD had only apprehended one violator of illegal discharge of firearms, and confiscated firecrackers worth P136,630.00 in the entire city. “These positive developments could be attributed to our early preparations and consistent implementation of various measures,” said Dizon.
