Newcastle have hired a new chief operating officer as they continue weighing up a new stadium or a revamp of St James' ParkBrad Miller, who has held senior positions across the aviation and property sectors, joins the club’s senior management team under Darren Eales with a remit to “lead the club’s capital investment strategy”.
Although the club insist the appointment is part of wider efforts to be “best-in-class” and his remit isn’t specific to the ongoing discussions around stadium expansion, Miller’s role means he will be a key driver of the project when Newcastle eventually decide on the direction it will take. “He brings with him an outstanding track record in both operational and development projects, and his creative, collaborative and strategic leadership will be a huge asset to us as we continue to strive for best-in-class in all that we do.”has been told the club’s feasibility study remains “ongoing” and is yet to make a definitive call on next steps around St James’ Park.
