EXCLUSIVE: Ally McCoist warns Newcastle not to exploit transfer loophole or 'everybody will hate them'
Ally McCoist insists it wouldn't be a good idea for Newcastle to exploit a loophole in order to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi AND Karim Benzema this summer.
The Magpies are gearing up for a busy summer in the transfer market after securing Champions League football for next term, meaning they're preparing to pull off some significant deals.Ronaldo plays for Al-Nassr who are now owned by Newcastle's owners, PIFNewcastle's majority shareholders, the Saudi Arabian PIF, confirmed the purchase of four of the nation's biggest clubs on Monday, Al-Ittihad, Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli.
has already elevated Al-Nassr to the status of a global force after completing his move in January, while Messi and Benzema have been linked with summer moves to Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad respectively. With the owners effectively now operating a multi-club network, some have speculated over the possibility ofsigning the trio on loan deals, with the three clubs able to pick up the wage bill to help the Magpies comply with Financial Fair Play.
Explaining the situation, Olly Clink told talkSPORT Breakfast: "Newcastle, their owners could be picking up some of the biggest stars heading to Saudi.
