Football Insider has been told by Kieran Maguire that Newcastle United will have to sell more players in order to sustain their spending in future windows.

The Tyneside club have also offloaded Allan Saint-Maximin, Chris Wood and Karl Darlow to thin their squad ahead of the 2023/24 campaign. Maguire believes Newcastle’s spending has been ‘modest’ this summer, but believes they will have to start selling more players in future windows to avoid a bloated wage bill.
