I’m very, very proud to be the manager," said Howe, who was speaking to BBC Radio Newcastle from the Magpies' training camp in Germany.
He then guided Newcastle to a fourth-place Premier League finish in the 2022-23 campaign as the Magpies qualified for the Champions League. "I’m absolutely honoured and privileged to be manager of Newcastle United. I hope that is for many, many years," Howe added. Newcastle were forced to generate funds late into June in order to comply with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules .
